Our vision for the collective is to midwife a shift in the support offered for women and families on Maui in the birth transition. We plan to revitalize Maui’s perinatal resources with a holistic wellness and birth center — including an open adjusting space, a “kids hang out” and play space, consultation rooms, Midwifery access, Acupuncture, Lactation specialist, Doula service, casual milk sharing bank, outside community connecting area complete with coffee/tea bar. A detached Ohana birth suite, located within proximity to the hospital, complete with birthing tubs, accessible showers, private laboring space, new born delivery equipment, and an herbal garden for postpartum restorative medicines. We envision cultivating community and celebrating body wisdom through cultural event offerings, prenatal and pediatric education classes and outreach opportunities. Changing lives on Maui from the inside out.
